RAMPED UP Whitsundays - BMD Rumble Special Event

This ones for the vibes and the transition skaters out there.

We’ve Partnered with the Whitsunday Region to bring a 2 day Bowl & Vert festival right into the heart of the Whitsundays, with all of it based around Airlie Beach.

Saturday will host a Junior and Pro event at the Cannonvale foreshore bowl, with live music, markets and food trucks bringing a festival vibe while overlooking the Islands.

Sunday will host the Vert Competition, at a private location in Shute Harbour, with a ton of features soon to be announced.

Info for competitors

Bowl - 2 Divisions, Juniors and Opens. There are 16 spots maximum for Opens. 2 of which are designated to the top 2 winners from the Juniors, and 2 for locals. To enter Opens you must be 17 or over, unless your qualify by taking a top 2 finish in the juniors. *The exception to the rule is if a local designated spot is under 17, they can be included in the Opens under the allocated spots.

BOWL - Stop #1, 2024 - BMD Western Rumble

We love starting with a bang, and the Men and Women of the BMD Rumble absolutely crush it in the Mandurah bowl.

Stop 1 for bowl is always epic, free to spectate, qualifying and finals for bowl all in one day.

Top 2 Winners from the 16 & Under will be wildcarded in to the Opens to battle the top skateboarders.

Its free to spectate, food trucks keeping us full, and live action across the day.

Early afternoon qualifying starts, so you can see all the skateboarders across the afternoon, with the best of the best men and women coming through to finals in the evening from 6pm.

The BMD Rumble events feature a range of skateboarding competitions, including amateur and professional categories, showcasing the skills of both local and national skateboarders. These events often attract a diverse audience of spectators and participants, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere.

Skateboarding disciplines showcased in the BMD Rumble events include bowl skating in both traditional competition formats and fast paced cash grabs.

The events are not only about competition but also serve as platforms for fostering a sense of community among skateboarders, providing opportunities for networking, sharing techniques, and celebrating the skateboarding culture.

The BMD Rumble events often feature music, food stalls, merchandise booths, and other activities, creating an overall festival-like experience that appeals to both skateboarding enthusiasts and the general public.
